PIPE LAYING PROJECT

Project Overview:

Vistar Enterprise successfully executed the Underground and Above Ground Cooling Water (CW) Pipeline Installation Work for the Waste to Energy Project of JITF located at Ahmedabad. The primary objective of this project was to establish a robust and efficient cooling water circulation network between the Cooling Tower and the Condenser Area, forming an essential part of the plant’s heat exchange and cooling system.

Scope of Work:

The scope encompassed the complete pipeline installation process including supply, fabrication, alignment, welding, jointing, trench excavation, underground pipe laying, above-ground pipe supports, hydrotesting, and external coating/painting. All work was executed in compliance with the latest engineering standards, safety protocols, and client specifications.

Our team meticulously handled multiple pipe diameters ranging from 300 mm to 800 mm, ensuring precise alignment and reliable joint integrity for sustained operation under continuous flow conditions. The use of high-quality Mild Steel (MS) pipes and protective surface treatments ensured long-term corrosion resistance and durability in both underground and exposed environments.

Execution & Quality Assurance:

The entire project was carried out under the supervision of qualified engineers and QA/QC personnel. Strict quality checks were implemented at each stage—from welding and NDT inspection to hydrotesting and final commissioning. All welding activities were performed using approved procedures, and every joint was verified to meet the required pressure and flow standards.

Challenges & Achievements:

The project involved complex routing and space constraints within an operational plant environment. Our experienced field team managed seamless coordination with other ongoing civil and mechanical works to maintain progress and safety. Despite these challenges, the project was completed within the stipulated timeline, meeting all technical and quality benchmarks set by the client.

Outcome:

The completed Cooling Water pipeline system now enables efficient heat transfer and energy recovery, contributing to the overall performance and sustainability goals of the Waste to Energy Plant.
